About a week ago on several naval blogs. Supposedly a Russian crew member (unidentified) was quoted. If so, wonder how severly the crewman was...uh...disciplined for letting something out without czar vlad's approval? DFO

Thanks....a bit there I hadn't read; especially the part about Moskva being "laid up" upon return to Sevastopol. Hhmmm? Does that mean the "mighty" Moskva has been "mission killed" by one hit? If so it doesn't say much about the redundancy of this big ship to take battle damage and still be useful. Of course if one looks at what happened to the USN's DDG Cole............somehow those creaky old WW II era cruisers (from any nation almost) look awfully good! DFO

This pic supposedly shows Moskva's "triumphant" return to Sevastopol. Unless the "damage" is on the other beam....nothing readily visible in this view.............DFO
