SMS Kaiserin Elizabeth was an old Austro-Hungarian cruiser based in China in 1914. She made for the German colony of Kiaochow where her guns were dismounted and used in the defence of the fortified port of Tsingtao. She was scuttled on 2nd November 1914 just five days before the city surrendered to the Japanese.
