Hi from a new member

Hi, have just joined so thought I would say hello.

I have just gained acess to my Gt Gt Grandfathers service papers from his time with the RNR (1917-1919). He was William Charles Corrin.

He was born in the Isle of Man in 1855, the son of a master mariner. William went to sea at an eary age and became a master mariner himself in 1881 and worked with the Isle of Man Steam Packet. In 1917, aged 62 he was commisioned in the RNR and served on tugboats.

I have joined this site to hopefully find out a little bit more about him or his boats.

ttd0 was my username for logging into the computers at uni and since I spent four years with it etched in my head I carried on using it, its the only thing I can reliably remember!

I did a National Archives search for William Corrin, came up with zilch... but i did find a website that has images:
