Hello from a (fairly) new member

Hi all;

I've just recently joined and am finding this forum really impressive. I was in the Canadian Navy for 35 years as a radioman and Supply Officer and am now pursing a second career as a financial boffin, working in and exploring Europe. My primary interests are naval history snd warship modelling. I hope I can share some ideas and information other members.

It would be nice to see some some posts relating to the Canadian Navy in the 'on this day' thread if you feel so inclined.

As a little extra welcome here's a pic of the Memorial erected to Canadian troops on the prom at Dieppe. I took the photo in Oct 2007.

I have a photo of the memorial dedicated to the Canadians in France. They were the ones who first experienced gas in WW1. Unfortunately it's in my other computer. I'll see if I can find it.
