We recently completed the listing of French Minesweepers, and all photos are now in the correct order, as opposed to being lumped together on the 'other photos' page. This mainly affects all of the more modern Eridan Class ships.

Two of the ex-RN Ham Class IMS's were loaned to the Lybian Navy in 1963 (Brak, Zuara) they were disarmed in 1973.
(info from: http://www.battleships-cruisers.co.uk/libyan_navy.htm :))

Got picture of the HMS Felmersham but I don't know which ones were sent to France.

Hi Ton - I am sure I do have some pictures of the ex-RN Ham minesweepers somewhere but I can`t seem to be able to put my hands on them. TBH all my French Navy ships are in a total state of disarray and I will need to sort them out in correct categories when i get the time! As a small piece of compensation I have the French minesweeper the Castor - which was built during the first world war by Swan Hunter...

Too modern Dave. I'm looking for the 1950's built ex-RN 'Ham' class inshore minesweepers that were transferred to the French Navy and then the French Customs/coastguard/Police patrol etc.

Sorry - Rik I haven`t yet. I will be honest with the volume of postcards, photo`s and pictures I have both stored and loose, I have got into a bit of a mess from an organisational point of view!

I know I have said this before but with the amount of things I have to do both forum and otherwise each day I just have not been able to create the time to begin to sort the mess out.

I am rapidly coming to the belief that I might need later on this year to take maybe a fortnight or so away from the forum to restructure my system as well as action a whole list of loose ends of which these French minesweepers are just one.

I will sort it all out somehow:o

Cheers Alan. I have perhaps maybe one or two large versions, but that's it. Even the 'Small Craft Group and the 'World Ship Society' are struggling to get decent photo's of the French Ham class. I have maybe one or two (from eBay) that are good enough, but there are loads out there, just no-one is posting them in any kind of sizeable format !! Even 'SHIPSPOTTING.COM' has bugger all, and they have the largest selection of ship photo's on the net.

Well if I do have any in my heap of unsorted pics, then the group will get them. I must admit that the names you have listed do not ring bells.
