Hello All,
The wanderer, and his wife, have returned from an absolutely fantastic 'old time' sea voyage. We flew to Manaus, a 1000 miles or so up the Amazon river complex, though the place is actually on the River Negra. Gradually worked our way to the mouth of the Amazon and called in at Devil's Island -scene of Papillion and the Dreyfus affair, then to the West Indies, Grenadines, Antigua and the Azores before berthing at Harwich on Saturday. Very hard to take... all that sea and the Atlantic as flat and as calm as the Pacific or Indian Oceans!.
I have some photos of a Portuguese Frigate ( at least I think that's what she was) and a Spanish warship... though don't knowwhat she is. Both were taken at Ponta Delgada last week. I'll put them on the other warships page.
