Any one with any history of this ship

All I can tell you is that HMS Sesame was an Assurance class tug and was torpedoed and sunk on the 11th June 1944 by a German MTB off the coast of Normandy in association with the D-Day landings.
Commissioned into the RN on 18th Jan 1944... so quite a short life.

Hello there. As an addition to the post from "Melv" who is quite correct, there was also an old "R&S" Destroyer by that name. From 30/12/1918 to scrap in May 1934 she had a Displacement of : 905 tons. Speed 36 Knots, Compliment: 90 Armament: One 4in. One 3in. AA, Eight 5in. AA, 2 x 4 20mm AA, 2/4 x 1 guns. Two 4in, One 2pdr AA guns.

In December 1927 my uncle William A s Horne was Stoker 2nd class on HMS Sesame he left the ship December 1928 as Stoker 1st class
