USS Silversides SS 236 - help locate grandpa

Hello
I am looking for information if any, on my Grandfather. Would love any help you can offer. His name was Arley "Bud" Hanson, born June 21, 1921, and served in the Navy on the USS Silversides SS 236 in the early 1940's. He was stationed in Califonia. I also have his SSN#.
I believe he is in a group photo posted by "kc" as well. Thank you!
