hi guys you seem to be all the blokes with lots of pictures i was wondering if any one has a photo of the ss saltwick i know it was a cargo ship of 3775 tons and was launched 17.9.29 and ship id is 1161014 and was a part of the headlams and sons group and was sunk on convoy mks.28 algiers to oran and then to the rock but was hit on the 21/10/43 by aircraft torpedo i belive an american ship was also attacked at same time of the name tivies???i would love to see what my grandfather had to work aboard any help or info would be great many thanks guys ian

Hi Ian,
I have read your request whilst searching for more info on the SS Saltwick for myself. My father served on the SS Saltwick during the 1930's as 3rd officer & I have a couple of pictures of that time.

i would love and info you can pass me on i have come to a head now on traceing any more of my grandfathers merchant navy history was trying to find a crew record to see if grandfather was serving upon it any info would be great my father was adopted and never got the chance to meet grandad so ive never seen a picture of him found loads of history on him but never a photo would finish the puzzle
