Hi All,
I am researching my late Uncles Tel Norman Gray Leadingham ( Jock) Navy Career and was wondering if there were maybe any photo's of him out there. he joined the RNZN in 1954 having served in the RN he was born in Arbroath he died in 1959 while still serving. i know he served on the Stawell and at Philomel.
also if anyone knows the whereabouts of his medals i would be very interested to hear fom them i realise all this is a long shot but fingers crossed.

I was in the mess the day he died, around the rum tub. He had a doze off and vomited and choked. If you go to the RNZN Communicators webste, they may be able to help with photos. http://rnzncomms.org.nz

Thanks so much for your reply to my query on Norman i must say i didn't expect to find anyone who had known him let alone be there on the day he died.
i have been researching my family tree for a while now and i started with Norman as my dad Normans Brother who is 90 now knew very little about his naval career and i wsa trying to find out as much as i could while my dad's still here, if you could share any memories you may have of Norman my father and me would be most grateful.
i will try the website you suggested for photo's thanks again.
