My cable modum has failed and I have to wait until the
28th for a Telstra tech to pay a visit.
Am at my daughter's place to send this. Won't be on line much .

Forget telstra go and buy a new one.
Have you done all the modum things. Turn it off, pull out the plug from the mains and leave it for a couple of minutes. Plug it back in and switch on. Do all the lights come on?
If you look at the back there is a little hole with a reset button inside, you will need a paper clip or something to depress it.
You should be able to go to your internet provider who can do a test from their end.
Sorry forgot you are with Telstra, they will have to send round a technician:D

Wafu, unforunately your post is a little late, The Sailor has not posted on the forum for over a year....so I doubt he will read your advice.
