Hello Chaps,

I seem to be having a problem after logging in... in that I have been having to log in again, when posting or trying to post to another thread within the forum. Any reason??

I'll alert Kc Ian. He should know. I don't.

Probably the best way for a question like this is to PM a moderator/Administrator.

It might not be the forum Ian. Many people don't know that WINDOWS needs regular maintenance.
Apart from Defragmenting, the use of Windows to constantly look up information for the forum leads to a massive accumulation of temporary files and cookies. I use a program called C Cleaner to clean it all out. Yesterday when I did it, I had accumulated 1012Mb of junk. That is over one gig,

If Windows gets too unstable, sometimes you have to do a complete re format and re load it.

One final thing. Check for upgrades to Windows. Make sure your software is up to date.

If anyone wants the C Cleaner download site, let me know.

Just a quick note to add that this may be caused by the automatic time out. If you take long enough to type in your post, you will be automatically logged out. I think the limit is fifteen minutes. I suggest copying all the text from your post before you submit it, then if something does go wrong, you can paste it back in without losing it.

I just came on to check for spam and emergencies - my cooker exploded this evening so it's all fun and games here. Glass everywhere but thankfully no injuries. :)

Don't re-format, carry out a repair that way you wont lose all your data although you would naturally back up before you start. It involves going into your bios and starting up using your windows cd. Depends how confident you are or if the kids are around:)
