My late father in law served in HMS Aurora 1941-42. In his papers I found two press clippings regarding the action against an Axis convoy and escorts in the Med. Gallant indeed.

This action would appear to be the destruction of the Axis Convoy Beta aka Duisberg on 9 Nov. 1941 during which one Italian destroyer was sunk and a further three Italian destroyers badly damaged.Most importantly the entire convoy of 6 merchantmen and a tanker were sent to the bottom.:D
