CONDOR CLASS Steel Screw Sloops
Completed
as Barque rigged Sloops, but during their service mainly in the China and
East African stations. the yards were removed and were fitted with e
new foremast.
HMS
Condor, Rosariom Shearwater and HMS Vestal were built at Sheerness
Dockyard with HMS Mutine and HMS Rinaldo being built at Birkenhead
by Laird. all completed between 1902 to 1904.
Displacement:
980 tons, Crew 130. Armament: Six 4 -inch Quick Firing Breech
loaders and four 3 pdr Quick Firing Breach Loaders.
