Mansells Taxi Service by Robert Tomlin. (Y)

The 1991 Grand Prix season started with great public expectations supporting, encouraging and urging on Britains one and only Nigel Mansell to win the Formula One World Championship. In the race at Silverstone a fired up Mansell was dominant in front of the ecstatic home crowd winning the race with such style and aplomb. His arch rival Ayrton Senna was completely outclassed and to add insult to injury he ran out of fuel on the last lap, finishing fourth behind our hero. In an unprecedented gesture, Nigel stopped on his victory lap and picked up Senna to get him safely back to the pits through the thronging crowd, so creating one of the most memorable moments in the history of Formula One. Disappointments were to follow throughout the season and it would not be until 1992 that Nigel would eventually lift the coveted crown.

Johnny Herbert/ Benetton B.195 by Ivan Berryman. (Y)

Johnny Herbert is shown in the Benetton B195. Herbert took a deserved victory at his home British Grand Prix at Silverstone, beating the Ferrari of Frenchman Jean Alesi into second place by more than 16 seconds, and ahead of fellow briton David Coulthard in the third placed Williams. He also claimed victory at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Along with Michael Schumachers nine victories, Herbert helped Benetton win their first constructors championship in the 1995 season. The Formula One Benetton B195 was designed by Rory Byrne and Ross Brawn for use in the 1995 Formula One season by Benetton. The B195 was almost identical to the B194 but for a change of engine supplier from Ford to Renault V10 engine, the same type the rival Williams team was using. With his first two Formula One wins under his belt in 1995, Johnny Herbert won just one more race, winning at the Nurburgring at the European Grand Prix in 1999, racing for Stewart Ford. He retired from Formula One in 2000.

Sibling Rivalry II by Robert Tomlin. (Y)

Unique in the history of Formula One motor racing are the Schumacher brothers. After seeing the success of his elder brother, whilst climbing through the ranks to stardom in F1, Ralf Schumacher had his sights set firmly upon beating his illustrious brother. At last in a competitive car, we see Ralfs Williams BMW leading Michaels Ferrari through the Veedol chicane at Nurburgring during the 2003 European Grand Prix. This event which Ralf went on to win turned the tables on the 2001 race which also saw the two fighting wheel to wheel at times but in that case Ralf could not quite match the Ferrari of his brother Michael. The race threw the championship for both constructors and drivers wide open and set the stage for one of the most exciting conclusions of a championship season for years.

The Double 2001 / 2002 by Gary Keane. (Y)

It was Saturday 4th May 2002, the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Wonderful goals by Ray Parlour and Freddie Ljungberg for Arsenal were too much for their London rivals Chelsea to capture the FA Cup. Four days later, on Wednesday 8th, Arsenal rode into Old Trafford. This time a goal by Sylvain Wiltord on his 100th appearance for the club was enough for Arsene Wenger's team to overcome Manchester United and clinch the Premiership title, maintaining a record of scoring in every league game of the season. For the second time in four years under their long-serving and inspirational captain Tony Adams, Arsenal had performed the classic double of English football, the third in their history making 2001-02, a season never to be forgotten.
