HMS
Defender |
|
Several of the photographs of HMS Defender (and HMS
Diamond) were sent in by Ira James.... "My Great-Uncle's name was Ben James of Malvern in
Worcestershire. These few photos I have were taken while he
was serving aboard H.M.S. Defender on a tour of the far east, from the 2nd
of April 1934 to the 15th October 1936. On returning to the U.K. he
transferred to submarines and served with them until he was killed in
action aboard H.M. submarine Spearfish in August 1940." Thanks
for these great photos. |
