HMS SPARTAN
KENNETH WILSON HODCROFT.. My
grandfather served on the HMS Spartan in 1944 and was aboard when it sunk.
He survived, his name was Kenneth Wilson Hodcroft, and he was an engineer
who worked in the boiler room. He tried to rescue his best friend 'Dutchy'
in the engine room but had to leave him behind. We're looking for any
information from anyone else who was onboard Spartan when she sunk.Thanks

HMS BELLONA
WILLIAM BEACH TURNER.. My father served on the
Russian Convoy in 1944 - 1945. His name was William Beach Turner, he
recently died and I would like to hear from anyone who possibly knew
him. It would be an honour to find out as much as I can about his past

REG ROPER.. My dad served as a marine on Bellona and was a
bandsman when not carrying out other duties. I have a precious personal
and quite detailed diary that my father kept of the Normandy
operation and I know that the Bellona, supported by destroyers
including the famous Ashanti, engaged and sank a German
convoy on 5th-6th August 1944 off St Nazaire.I would like to get more
information of some of the other theatres she was involved in. E-mail me

HMS DIADEM
HAROLD COOPER.. I
am looking for information on Harold Cooper who served on HMS Diadem
during WWII. He won a bravery medal to which there was an article written
in the London Gazette on the 14th November 1944, he never told his

FREDERICK PATERNOSTER:
My Grandfather served on HMS Diadem during WW2. He
was a scribe in the payroll office. and was on board when the ship sailed
to Copenhagen in May1945 and then travelled up the Norwegian Fjords after
that assignment. Soon after he was transferred to the Formidable and went
to the Orient. he would love to hear form any old shipmates who served at

ERIC HARRISON.. My father served on HMS Royalist as a
stoker/leading stoker until his demobilisation in 1946. I wonder if anyone
has any information about HMS Royalist and her crew during the period

a telegraphist up to the return to the UK from the Far East in early 1946.

FRED ROY WASS...
My Grandfather served on HMS
Royalist from May 1944 and served until 1946. I believe he worked as a
radar plotter but am not entirely sure. I am looking for any information
on the ship or ships company especially anyone who may have known him.
