Photographs and history of the Virginia Class Battleship of the United States Navy, BB13 USS Virginia, from its launch in 1904 until its use as a target in 1923.

BB13 USS Virginia, was ordered under the naval act of 1899 and built at new port News, and laid down 21st May 1902, launched 5th April 1904 and completed 7th May 1906.  sunk as a target in 1923.

Displacement: 14,948 tons, and 16,098 tons full load.  Speed: 19 Knots, Crew 812.     Armament: Four 12 inch  Guns (2 x 2 ) Eight 8 inch Guns, twelve 6 inch guns Twelve  3 inch guns , Twelve  3 pounder, and Four 21 inch Torpedo Tubes all submerged.   
BB13    USS Virginia 5th April 1904 Used as a target and sunk in 1923.
