Pre dreadnought battleships
of the Admiral Class included HMS Anson, HMS
Camperdown, HMS Benbow, HMS
Collingwood, HMS Howe and HMS Rodney. HMS Anson,
launched 17th February 1886, But their completion was delayed due to the
delay in the production of their big guns. During their service life they
served in the Home fleet and Mediterranean fleet. HMS Rodney was placed in B reserve at Chatham
from July 1906 before
being sold for breaking in June 1909 while HMS Howe was repaired after
grounding on rocks in Ferrol Harbour in 1892 and afterwards joined the
Mediterranean Fleet in 1893. Howe was then sold in 1910.
