1936A Type Z23 to Z34 ( "8 Zerstorer-Flotille Narvik") German Destroyers Z23, Z24, Z25, Z26, Z27, Z28, Z29, Z30, Z31 Z32, Z33, Z34, Built at Bremen by Deschimag 12 Destroyers all built by Deschimag at Bremen, and laid down between 1939 - 1940, This class of destroyer was known by their crews as the "Narviks" Most of this class were to become the 8th destroyer flotilla or better known in Germany as "8 Zerstorer-Flotille Narvik" Displacement: 2,600 tons Speed: 38.5 knots, Crew 321 Range: Z23 - Z27 was 5000 miles at 19 knots, Z28 - Z29 was 5800 miles at 19 knots, Z30 - Z34 was 5900 miles at 19 knots, Armament: Four 5.9 -inch guns , Four 37mm AA in pairs, Fourteen 20mm AA guns, Eight 21 inch Torpedo Tubes. When fitted as a minelayer they carried 60 mine..

Z28 | 20th August 1940 | Sunk on 6th March 1945. by Bombing at Sassnitz |

Z33 | 15th September 1941 | Given to the USSR at the end of the war and served as Provornyj until scrapped in 1960s. |
Z34 | 5th May 1942 | Damage by a Russian torpedo on 16th April 1945, after WW2 she was transferred to America but was scuttled on 26th March 1946. |
